News has been trickling in on Aion's upcoming massive update 1.9 that is geared to impress a waning playerbase. Weapon rentals: "We'll have a weapon rental shop with 1.9. If you're in a hurry and you don't have a lot of kinah but have some (or maybe it's a double xp weekend), and you really want to go play with your friends or level up, you can actually go to a merchant and rent better equipment than you have that's on a timer similar to those daily quest rewards. You can go and have fun, and spend a fraction of what you'd spend on buying it."
